sp; The EMERSON "Power Bridge" will give any banjo a boost in volume, tone and sustain. I GUARANTEE IT! __Kelly Emerson ABSOLUTELY LETHAL!!! This bridge will provide sound performance to the max, guaranteed! With the looks of a "WILD CAT", each bridge is handcrafted by Kelly Emerson, son of Bluegrass "Hall Of Famer", Bill Emerson. This 5-string banjo bridge (also available for tenor, plectrum, banjo/mandolins and six (6) string banjos), now also available for resophonic (dobro) guitars is made of solid rock hard cherry wood. It is nicely stained with a golden oak color which really enhances the appearance of the cherry wood. Personally, I'm a banjo fanatic who's working on banjos day in and day out trying to acheive that perfect set-up regarding playability, tone, sustain and most of all, VOLUME. All banjo players know that the bridge plays an extremely vital role in the banjo's performance. The thought behind this bridge was to make it of extremely hard wood so that it would produce volume and a great tone. The first banjo I tried it on was my Stelling Staghorn. The volume increase blew me away!I swear that was the loudest that banjo had ever sounded. Besides the volume, it had this wonderful full bodied, punchy clear tone and the sustain was great as well. It was the kind of sustain that actually helps you play better and whatever you're playing easier to play. This bridge really works! It comes available in 7/16", 1/2", 9/16", 5/8", .656", 11/16" and 3/4" heights. Custom heights and arched radius styles are available upon request. The per unit cost is $17.00. THIS BRIDGE CAN BE PURCHASED WITH A CREDIT CARD ON PAGE FIVE (5) OF THIS SITE. Check out columnist, Bill Palmer's "banjo set-up" web site by clicking on the link below to read the article that he posted on my bridges
I am now offering dobro bridge blank inserts which I cut from the same rock hard cherry wood. Not only do they increase volume, you'll notice a crisper tone with a great mid-range boost which seems just perfect.

FEATURED TESTIMONIAL FOR DOBRO BRIDGE BLANK INSERTS:
Kelly, you weren't exaggerating when you said that the Emerson Dobro Power Bridge would give my Dobro a real boost! Every note on the entire fret board is full, pure and loud! The bridge not only added a real punch, but it also increased the quality of the sound. The sustain is awesome. It's amazing how this bridge could make such a dramatic difference. Best of all, I know it's going to improve my playing! Thanks Kelly! Marty Girsch

Satisfied Customer Testimonials For Banjo And Dobro Bridges BANJO BRIDGE TESTIMONIALS:
**FEATURED TESTIMONIALS**: Hey Kelly, I got my bridges in yesterday. I put the tall 11/16" bridge on my problem Gibson Granada banjo and immediately, it brought the resonance way up, the volume up and helped the third and fourth strings as well! I was very happy because I was planning on setting it up as it badly needed it. When I got up this morning, I compared the Granada to the Deering I'm presently playing. I'm happy to say that the Granada had as good of volume, slightly better resonance and a better tone quality. So then I tried the .656 on the Deering and WOW!!!! Its volume increased past the Granada while retaining great qualities it had or maybe enhancing them. To say the least, both banjos are largely improved. I'm really very happy! What an incredible product!!!!!!! Thank You, Neal Underwood
Kelly, your bridge is everything you said it would be and much more. I have an RB-75 and was seriously thinking about selling it and your bridge was a "stay of execution" for this JD Crowe model. It now has a more vibrant and resonant tone and I couldn't wait to try it on my Style 11, which produced the same results. Needless to say, I am going to be needing another bridge and will be sending you the payment. Thank you for all your help........Rad Lewis
1.) Kelly, I just received the arched EMERSON "Power Bridge" that you made for my Gibson RB-12. I admit I was skeptical and thought it would be trebly, but at the expense of the bottom end. It added crispness to the top end but I was wowed by the balance up and down the neck! It's loud!! I like it so much, I want one for my Granada. Terrific bridge and I can say that because I've tried them all. Thanks so much Kelly for a terrific development for bluegrass banjo players. Marte Meyer
2.) WOW! What brilliance and the lows are still there only with an unusual emphasis they didn't have before. This banjo BARKS! It's noticeably louder too. It has that banjo sound I've been after for years! Thanks!!!!! Mark M. Hulse
3.) Kelly, The notes on my banjo ring out and the harmonics/overtones are clearer, even with old strings. (I'll be interested to hear the Stelling when I finally change them). The thumpy bottom has been replaced by crackling clarity. My biggest concern is that I'll blow everybody out of the jam session. Big Thanks, Darryl Mondrow
4.) Your bridge works great on my 1998 Gibson Earl Scruggs and 1978 Idia arch top banjo. I'm getting crisp and clear tone with it. It makes my banjos sound great! With the EMERSON "Power Bridge" all hammer-ons ring true and all slides sound perky and smooth. ALSO, I NOTICE THAT I'M PLAYING LOUDER NOW BECAUSE I HAVE MORE CONFIDENCE THAT THE STRINGS WILL SOUND THE INTENDED TONE CLEARLY, CRISPLY AND IN ACCURATE PITCH! Thanks, Geri Freitas
5.) Wow...I'm messing with it, trying to get the banjo stabilized, figure out the best position vs. head tension, etc. - but so far...it's powerful! This thing must cut glass on a Stelling! I love it! Thanks Kelly! Buddy Woodward from Buddy Woodward & The Nitro Express
6.) You know I always thought these bridge deals were so-so at best...just a sales pitch maybe for the bluegrassers at best. But not this one. I put it on a 1895 Buckbee I restored and it sounds 1000% better! In fact, I'd like to order two more for my Dobsons. THANKS AGAIN! Dana Ford
7.) I put your bridge on today. It is like each one of my strings took a vitamin pill. The sound is richer and brighter and was the exact size I needed so my action is great also. My banjo seemed to be missing something and your bridge was it. The EMERSON "Power Bridge" was just what it needed! Many Thanks, Gord Willison
8.) I put the bridge on my Fender Concertone, man, what a difference! Your bridge woke up the Fender, I'm impressed!!!!! Please make me three more @ 5/8", standard spacing. Thanks so much, Buddy Clifton
9.) Kelly, Holy Mackerel! With your bridge, it's like putting a 357 Chevy engine into a Volkswagon Beetle! In fact, it may take a little time adjusting to the increased volume. Before, it was a matter of having to swallow the microphone to be heard. This morning my band mate said I may not even have to use a microphone at all. Before, when I would speed up, the notes would sound a little "muddy", but now the notes are just as clear as can be from one end of the neck to the other. This is a very fine product! Thank you, Ron Burget
10.) Wow, Kelly. It's great! You can add me to the list of believers. Replacing my existing bridge was like taking a towel out of the back of my banjo. It rings louder and clearer than ever! Thanks, Jeff Pettegrew Lafayette, C.A
11.) Got my new bridge and you were right: it made my Gibson Earl Scruggs model ring! The sound is great and I noticed right away the banjo sound of the older models that I've heard around the bluegrass scene. You've really got a great product here and I plan to tell everyone around the news!!!!! Thanks again and Happy Pickin!! Scott Faulkner
12.) Hey Kelly, I loosened the head just a touch and now I've got a great sound with all the good qualities from the old bridge still there and the new brightness with your bridge. I regret not doing it sooner. Thanks, Steve D.
13.) Got the bridge today. I love it! Your bridge just lit up the tone!!! Thanks, Pat Day
14.) I got the bridge today and it's on and hummin! I really like the sound and the punch. Thanks, Deryll Hughes
15.) Just wanted to let you know that your bridge made my GoldStar awesome! It is the best it has ever sounded. Hope to buy a few more later. Thanks, Tom Hyatt
16.) Kelly, "AWESOME banjo BRIDGE". I really like it and my Stelling can be heard a country block away. Much louder than I expected and love it! Thanks again, Marshall McCleese
17.) Kelly, I have received the bridges and installed one. After about three hours of practice tonight, I believe your bridge to be everything you have said it was. The brightness and clarity of my banjo with your bridge is very pleasing to the ear. Most bridges do not sustain well on the 1st and 2nd strings, but your bridge has most definately helped with that. Compared to some of the big brand name bridges that I have tried, I believe that this is exactly what I was looking for. Your bridge is most definately "upper class" and a real compliment to my banjo. Thanks alot, Jay Stuckey from W.Va
18.) Hi Kelly, The bridge is great. It increased the volume on my banjo by 30%. The sustain is better also. I couldn't be more pleased. The bridge is everything you said and more. Great work! Thanks again, Ed McGee
19.) Kelly, I received the bridges yesterday, just in time for a gig last night. The 11/16" was just right. I slipped it into position and the action was perfect. The couple of banjo players in the audience noticed a real difference in my banjo last night, and I could hardly believe it was the same instrument I've played the last few years. I'm listening to a mini disc recorded last night while I'm writing this and my banjo sounds great! Thanks for an excellent product! Bill Healy
20.) Hi Kelly, The loudness, tone and brightness after changing to your bridge is fantastic! I had planned to install it after I had changed strings, but I decided to do an "A verses B" test first and play and record some songs using the old bridge, then the new bridge. There's no denying there was a great improvement with the EMERSON "Power Bridge" installed. I will highly recommend your bridges to every banjo player I know! Thank you very much! Scott Atkins
21.) Kelly, I received the two Power Bridges today. Had only enough time to set one of 'em up on my Stelling and it really SCREAMS! Thanks for a terrific product and I look forward to doing business with you again! Best regards, Dean Lungu
22.) Kelly, I got the three bridges and put one on a Lyon & Healy banjo uke, one on my hybrid Vega parlor/traveling banjo and one on my Bacon Silver Bell. In every case, I got more volume with less distortion at full roar, a fuller tone/timbre range, more distinction between string notes, plus the ability to soften the volume without losing crispness. All above things have always been noted by others of my Silver Bell, but it is now better than ever. I will be ordering five more bridges from you!!!! Thank you so much, Don Wiseman
23.) Kelly, It sounds great! Works fine on my Deering. The banjo is definately louder and "crisper"....kinda reminds me of the more expensive banjos I was comparing against when I bought mine. My band practiced last weekend trying to prepare for a show that only has two mics...we played through our P.A in the same format and I was able to play alongside an accordian player with no mic. PRETTY COOL! Thanks again, Michael Landis
24.) Kelly, I got the Power Bridge and installed it on my son's Gibson RB-250. It really made a difference in tone and volume boost and it gave the banjo much more punch. We played up at Lake Thurman this weekend and had several compliments on the banjo's tone and the looks of the bridge. JUST A THOUGHT FOR YOU - GIBSON SHOULD USE YOUR BRIDGE AS STANDARD E.Q ON THEIR BANJOS. Keep up the great work. You have a winner! Thanks again, Ronald Johnikin
25.) Hi kelly , After installing your "POWER BRIDGE" and checking with OME BANJO, I can't believe the difference in an "advanced beginner" banjo that is no longer being built. The tone , punch and clarity is amazing . I have gotten compliments from the people in our band , and family members. Thanks to you for all your help . This is a worthwhile investment for any banjo player ! As my wife said "I didn't think that small piece of wood could make that much of a difference". Thanks again for your help and take care. Chuck Durand P.S. love that cd and can't wait to see you play in person!
26.) I just received my new power bridge from Kelly Emerson and it's hard to believe the transformation. Louder, clearer, and sustains like you wouldn't believe. For the price there is no reason I can see for anyone not upgrading to this bridge. However, it won't teach you to play the banjo. You have to do that on your own......Jack Strange
27.) Hello Kelly, I bought one of your "Power Bridges" a few months ago. It's on my Stelling. I have bought a number of bridges in the last 26 years. Almost all of them more expensive. I wouldn't trade the "Power Bridge" for any or all of them. The old banjer really cracks now! Thanks, Bill McAllister
28.) Not a question...but...hey, that Power Bridge kicks ass! My old Gibson has never been so loud and bright. I love it! Only problem is that the sound guys keep turning my banjo mic down to zero. It's so loud on stage that they think it doesn't need a mic any more! Nice work! __Jim Bennett
DOBRO BRIDGE TESTIMONIALS:
Dear Kelly, Several months ago I was seriously considering purchasing another square neck dobro. During this time, you and I had discussions regarding your "Power Bridge" for banjo. I purchased two of them and installed them on both of my banjos. I was so pleased with the results on the banjos that I asked you to make a bridge for my dobro. After installing it, your bridge definately increased the volume and enhanced the tone dramatically. Because of your bridge, I am no longer in the hunt for a new dobro but if I ever do have one made, it will have one of your bridges on it. I am so pleased with the sound I'm geting now. I am very satisfied! Virgil Fuselier
Kelly, Calvin here. I received the cherry inserts yesterday and immediately installed them in the dobro. I'm more pleased with the results. Your bridge inserts cleared up the muddy bottom end and made the tone much clearer and even all the way across. I will be putting the other set in the mahogany dobro soon and will also be ordering some more to have on hand for set-ups and to use in the dobros that I build. Thanks, Cal Baber....
